Organizing authority and Venue

Organizing authority (OA) is Yacht Club Znojmo, z.s. and Moravia fleet of the Star class.

Venue: Yacht Club Znojmo, Vranov nad Dyjí 243, 67103, Česká republika

Rules

The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS). If there is a conflict between Czech and English text and no other fair solution is to be found, the English text will take precedence

Advertising

Boats may be required to display advertising chosen and supplied by the OA

Eligibility and Entries

The regatta is open to all boats of the Star class.

Eligible boats may enter by:

completing the on-line entry form on the event website: https://www.starclass.cz no later than 4.7.2025
completing the entry form in the Race Office during the Registration

Entry fee

The entry fee for this event is 100 euro to be paid by cash in the Race Office during the Registration.

Registration

At the registration each boat shall confirm its entry for the regatta. In addition, the following should be confirmed or submitted:

a completed Parent’s / Guardian consent form signed by the responsible parent or guardian of all competitors aged 18 or under

Sailing Instructions

Sailing Instructions will be issued on the event website and can be downloaded. These documents will also be available upon the registration or on the Official Notice Board (ONB).

The sailing instructions will consist of the instructions in RRS Appendix S, Standard Sailing Instructions, and supplementary sailing instructions that will be on the official notice board located next to the race office.

Race area

The racing area will be on Vranovska prehrada.

Race management intentions

8 races are scheduled.

Safety and Radio communication

A boat shall neither make radio transmissions while racing nor receive radio communications not available to all boats. This restriction also applies to mobile telephones.

Scoring

RRS Appendix A will be used.
Three races are required to be completed to constitute a Moravia fleet Championship.
One race is required to be completed to constitute a series.

Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See RRS 3, Decision to Race. OA, the Race Committee, the Protest Committee and any other parties and/or persons involved in the organization of the races and persons who are being used by these parties, will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained, direct or indirect, in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.

Photography Consent

By entering the regatta all competitors accept that they may be photographed and/or videotaped participating in the regatta and/or using regatta facilities and they consent to the taking of such images and to the use, reuse, publication and republication of such images in any media, in conjunction with the competitors name or not, without compensation and without the competitors approval of such images or any use thereof.
